Passage: Genesis 2:18-24,Hebrews 1:1-4,Hebrews 2:5-12,Mark 10:2-16

The psalm quoted in the Epistle lesson proclaims that human beings are the crown of God’s creation. Our loving relationships, even though tainted by sin, still serve as signs of the kingdom of God among us, and symbolize the wholeness intended for all of life. Neither husband nor wife, parents nor children, nor creation itself, is the property of humans for us to do as we will. The world and all that dwells therein belong to God, who transforms all things through Christ.
