At the heart of the Christian faith is God’s call of ordinary people, loving them even in their weakness. Therefore, we don’t come to Jesus asking, “Who are you and what can you do for me?” Rather, it is Jesus who comes to us. He asks, “Who do you say that I am?” and “Will you follow me and walk my way?” Can we lay aside our misgivings, our doubts, our frustrations, and our willfulness and follow?
