Remembering No More

Pastor:
Passage: 1 Kings 17:8-16, Hebrews 10:11-18, Mark 12:38-44

On this day, one hundred years ago, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, a treaty was signed to end “the war to end all wars.” Although that proved not to be the case, ever since we honor our veterans, remember their service and their sacrifice. Our lessons today highlight two poor widows who have very little to give, but give all they have. That does not go unnoticed by God or Jesus. To live in such faithfulness—with reckless, courageous, “all-in” devotion—is what Christ calls us to. For He remembers our sins no more.
