How joyful it is to give from our abundance. Paul writes of this important value to the Corinthians; Jesus exemplifies it by healing a woman and raising a child from death. His words, “Your faith has made you well,” have become a much-beloved phrase among Christians today. But it is more than that. It was faith that brought about the answer to prayers that seemed to have gone unanswered. In the same way, we are called to offer hope to our troubled world by giving freely and abundantly. We who have been given so much have much to offer—with a smile!
