Knowledge—not just what we know, but who we know—can be a good or a dangerous thing…or both! Moses announces God’s warning: “Anyone who does not heed the words that the prophet shall speak in my name, I myself will hold accountable (Deuteronomy 18:19); but how do we know when a prophet is speaking in God’s name? Paul expands on that, noting that knowledge can be both good and bad, so be careful how you use it. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” What we do with the knowledge of God’s purposes, and how we respond once we come to know Jesus and allow His authority to lead us, makes all the difference,
