Life is messy. Too many bad things happen to too many good people. Evil seems to flourish alongside the good. Why doesn’t a loving God fix things in the world so that there is more joy and less sadness? Why do good things happen to bad people? How come evil seems to go unpunished? These are deep questions believers often struggle with. Perhaps what we are given is not so much an answer to the questions but a God who is with us, even in the questions.
