Who’s Really Crippled?

Pastor:
Passage: Jeremiah 1:4-10,Hebrews 12:18-29,Luke 13:10-17

Rescue is a theme that runs throughout today’s lessons. Before Jeremiah was born, God had consecrated him to be a prophet—to rescue God’s people from aimlessness and sin. In Hebrews this idea is taken to a cosmic level: the whole created order will be shaken and Christ will come to rescue us from all that does not endure. In Luke, Jesus rescues a woman from an infirmity she has suffered with for eighteen years. In a world filled with peril, rebellion, and decay, God is present to deliver us and offer a kingdom that cannot be shaken.
