“Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. That message is astounding in itself; but what is more, God entrusts the proclaiming of that message to the frailest of means—human beings! Whether it is the witness of the shattered nation of Israel, or the quarreling community of believers in Corinth, or curious disciples shifting from one mentor to another, God’s saving purpose in the world is something to be shared. We look. We follow. We find new life. And we encourage others to do the same.
