Tonight is a holy and mysterious night. There is hushed excitement as we gather to worship – presents under a tree, presence in a manger. For unto us a child is born, a Savior who is Christ the Lord. Such humble beginnings reflecting His emptying of Himself to be the Servant Messiah promised long ago. Resounding in our hearts, as in the heavens, is a chorus of praise: “Glory to God in the highest; and on earth peace to those whom He favors. Immanuel – God is with us!
