Even After All That…?

Pastor:
Passage: 2 Corinthians 13:11-13,Matthew 28:16-20

The doctrine of the Trinity has been a conundrum throughout Christian history, an inspiring conception of how God works, but also a divisive point of dogma when it is disconnected from creation and discipleship. Today’s lessons invite us to focus on the goodness of creation, with particular emphasis on God’s call for us to be a special blessing to the world. The essence of discipleship—whether that means blessing the earth with conservation and simplicity, or blessing other people with compassion and mercy, or blessing the world by sharing the good news of Christ with all we encounter. All are ways to be fruitful and care responsibly for all creation. What a blessed way to live in God’s image!
