Temptation. Sin. Right and wrong.  How we respond to such things mark us as human beings.  The familiar story of the temptation of Adam and Eve is no less relevant today than when it was first told; Paul even uses it as the primary foundation for Christ’s atonement for the sins of humankind.  Even Jesus is not exempt.  He is driven out into the wilderness by the Spirit, armed only with God’s Word, and confronts the devil’s every temptation without yielding.   In Him, may we find the strength to do the same.
