For Them, Too

Pastor:
Passage: Isaiah 35:1-10,James 5:7-10,Matthew 11:2-11

God’s kingdom is like a desert in bloom—what is dry and barren blossoms and bears fruit.  Jesus announces to a dubious John in prison that healing and wholeness are the marks of his veracity.  In our times of despair over what the future may portend, we can have the same questions as John—what we see in the world doesn’t always mesh with the promises.  But Christ comes, and He rearranges our conceptions of what God is about and what He is doing—now!  When we look carefully, we see that His ways—even when surprising—are always better than our ways.
