Who are the people of God? Who will receive the kingdom of heaven?  According to today's lessons, they are not the ones with worldly wisdom or correct doctrine, but those who act with justice and compassion and walk humbly with their God.  The world calls them foolish because they choose to live kingdom values rather than worldly values; they are those willing to stand up against the status quo and work to bring about God's beloved community on earth, here and now.
