I, Mark, on Advent
The call to “prepare the way of the Lord” echoed in the ears of God’s people through the centuries and stands center stage in the readings today. Despite these urgings and warnings, however, the world was still taken by surprise. John the Baptist was sent as a herald of the Lord’s coming, and the Holy Spirit prepares a place in our hearts for God’s love and His presence. As Paul writes, whether we ready or not, God will bring His amazing world to completeness in each of us. This morning our worship is further enhanced by the musical offerings of our choir and bells.
