Passage: Ezekiel 2:1-5,2 Corinthians 12:2-10,Mark 6:1-13

Jesus encountered rejection and resistance because of his work and His words—even in his own hometown! His way was a narrow way that not everyone wanted to walk. He warned his disciples that they might face rejection, too. He was, they were, and we are sometimes fated to be “prophets without honor” in our own countries, our own villages, even our own homes. Being a follower of Jesus means telling the truth, even when it is hard for others to take; all the while trusting in God, whose power, as Paul discovered, is made perfect in weakness.
