“I am the Good Shepherd,” Jesus declares. His shepherding love for us—and even for those “not yet in the fold”—is the theme for this day. Too often, however, we tend to think only of those like us—in ethnicity, language, religion…and age! Today we focus on the last one, highlighting the contribution little lambs make to the flock. Preschool kids singing, children praying, and the youngest among us serving as Christ’s own example of who enters the kingdom of God.
