Jesus Wept

Pastor:
Passage: Ezekiel 37:1-14,Romans 12:14-16,John 11:1-45

As people on their way toward Easter and the great surprise of the open tomb, we take a detour to Bethany and the grave of Jesus’ friend Lazarus. He sighs, He cries, then He cries out for Lazarus to come out—and his friend is raised from the dead. And yet, Lazarus would die again…but he would also live again! Jesus says, “I am the resurrection and the life!” What better words to give hope to all of us living under death’s shadow. He is the Lord of life, even during Lent, even before Easter, even now!
