Receiving Like a Child
There is a common theme in today’s lessons: connectedness. Once a relationship has been established, one should not break it off when something goes wrong. Job refuses to curse God despite his misfortunes; the author of Hebrews assures us of God’s desire to connect with us through His Son Jesus; and Jesus himself speaks of what it means to be in a marital relationship. Whether between people or between people and God, these connections are not to be taken lightly, and are made to endure even in times of trouble.
