The Right Tool for the Job

Passage: Exodus 17:1-7,Romans 12:6-8,John 4:5-42

Water is a basic element that all living things need to survive…more so than ever before. Soon it will be more precious a commodity in the world than oil, as more than a billion people struggle to find enough to drink every day. Most of us can identify—in kind if not in scope—with personal experiences of fear and thirst. God in Jesus Christ offers us a basic relationship of love and trust as His disciples. We meet this relationship in the wilderness of our lives and in the cups we offer to those in need. On this our Lenten journey may we be quenchers of thirst and recipients of living water.
