Water is a basic element that all living things need to survive. Most of us can identify with personal experiences of thirst; and how wonderful even a tiny sip of water can taste. God offers us much more than that—a “spring of water gushing up to everlasting life.” What we are truly thirsty for is ours through Christ Jesus: a relationship of love and trust that reveals to us (and the world) that we belong to Him.
