Our Lenten journey is almost over. Something new is about to happen. The surest sign of discernment is adoration: knowing what is holy and worshiping it—worshiping Him. Mary’s act of anointing Jesus is extravagant, but so should be everything else this time of year. That’s why we call it the Passion! Her lavish action reveals an insight into the true significance of what Jesus is about to accomplish…and what that means to her. How about us? Shouldn’t our old values get rearranged a bit?
