We Americans take our freedom of religion for granted; or, even worse, we declare ourselves a Christian nation and make things difficult for those of other faiths. The irony is that in the world today, the very places where Christianity is persecuted or restricted are where it is growing in numbers and vibrancy. Today’s somewhat lengthy lessons give two examples of those willing to stand up for God even if that meant arrest or death. How strong is our faith.
