Youth Mission Trip Reflection

Pastor:
Passage: Isaiah 40:1-11, 1 Peter 1:1-7, Mark 6:30-32

There is something about coming home that soothes the soul—even if you’re returning from vacation. With a nod to our youth returning from their mission trip to San Francisco, today’s lessons have in common a well-deserved respite after labor. Isaiah shares God’s words of comfort to a people whose punishment was finally over. Jesus takes his disciples to a desolate place for a little “R&R.” Peter encourages the faithful scattered all over the world (“aliens”) to understand how blessed they are in Christ.
