Sticky Forgiveness

Pastor:
Passage: Acts 3:32-35, 1 John 1:1 2:2, John 20:19-31

Fellowship is a term tossed around frequently in church circles, but too often meaning little more than chatting with friends during coffee hour…or entangling alliances with other church bodies we should be wary of. But true Christian fellowship—spawned by a Risen Lord who does not recognize locked doors—is a radical concept embodied in the willingness of Christ’s followers to testify that He is alive! “It is the Lord!” He has come not to scold or punish or give us one more chance—He has come to give us peace. And with that peace comes the authority to forgive or retain sins. May we wield that authority as Jesus did: surrendering to one another in love.
