APRIL FOOLS! What a trick God played on sin, death, and the devil! Instead of evil and darkness overcoming, Light and Love proved victorious. Christ has risen!!! The direct result of God intervening to make all things new. This is the heart of the Christian message and what we are called to witness to at all times. With Peter and Paul, this day is our opportunity to affirm the basis of our faith. The way Mark (doesn’t) conclude his narrative abruptly with the women who visited the tomb and not saying a word to anyone means we get to write our ending to this Gospel. The possibility of encountering the Risen Christ is there for all of us to experience, still. May we, though far removed in time and space, live the Alleluia life!
