The A-List

Passage: Exodus 19:1-8,Romans 5:6-15

Our Lord Jesus refuses to work alone. He calls ordinary people, just like us, to assist Him in His world-changing, kingdom-inaugurating work. Individuals matter: one man brought death to the world; one man brought salvation. Is it our personal commitment to follow Jesus wherever He sends us? Sure, we respond as individuals, but we are not alone. Scripture says we are “surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses.” Today, we’ll take a closer look at a part of that “great crowd”—the twelve who initially said “Yes,” to his invitation to follow—and see where that following led them.
