Passage: Isaiah 52:13 – 53:12, Mark 15:22-39

The focus of all history, people of every tribe and race, is on a solitary hill outside of Jerusalem where the Son of God is nailed to a cross. As Isaiah foretold long ago, “He was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquity, and by his wounds we are healed.” It is by his innocent suffering and death that all creation is made one with God. That’s how much we are loved: that God gave His only-begotten Son to die for us.
