“You do not have because you do not ask.” Can that be true? Does our feeling of not having enough come simply from our not trusting in God to deliver? Granted, as Jeremiah notes, God tests the hearts and mind; but maybe that’s just to get us to see things from His perspective. Jesus’ disciples were afraid to ask Him about what was important, but had no problem squabbling over who was the greatest. If we have faith that we are God’s children and that the gates of everlasting life will be opened for us, how can we doubt He will care for us here and now…no matter how tough the times?
