Sometimes a familiar Bible passage takes on a whole new meaning due to one’s circumstances. That is the case with today’s Gospel lesson. Our current situation, the “new normal” brought on by COVID-19, prompts us to see things differently. Looking through an altogether different lens draws our focus elsewhere—except that it still remains, as always, on our Risen Lord and Savior.
